Parents and professionals rely on Grafton for our expertise in helping people to become more independent in their daily living and to be included in their regular community activities. We accomplish this by working with families, guardians and public agency personnel to identify the appropriate goals for each student to return home or to a less restrictive level of care. The treatment team emphasizes the behavioral changes and the learning needed for students to meet their goals. The team strengthens the support circles for these individuals as well.
In addition, we offer consultation, technical assistance, training and evaluation services through the Virginia Autism Resource Center (VARC), which was established by Grafton and is funded in part by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
