Grafton offers psychiatric residential treatment for children and adolescents aged six to 21 with co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Located in Berryville, VA, we provide intensive trauma informed treatment that promotes growth, healing and recovery.

All individuals are assigned a transdisciplinary team of specialists including a psychiatrist, therapist, case manager, nurse, teacher, residential manager and residential instructor. Other consultants are assigned based on an individuals’ support needs.

Grafton’s psychiatric residential treatment facility is licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and is accredited by CARF. We also offer short-term stabilization services which is an intensive family-focused residential program designed for a period of 45 days. www.grafton.org/short-term-stabilization-program

Grafton provides supervision of medical and psychiatric services as well as timely and responsive medical treatment appropriate to the diagnostic conditions of our clients.The facility has an infirmary with 24-hour nursing support. Both psychiatrists and medical directors are available at all Grafton sites to assess medical/psychiatric needs and provide leadership and guidance in delivery, oversight and design of services for clients.

Private rooms are clustered in groups around a spacious living room designed to encourage interaction.

The Clubhouse provides a common area for relaxing and interacting with others.

The 7,500 square-foot gym is used for sports, dances and other social activities.
