Grafton operates a residential treatment center in Berryville, VA, for youth ages 6 to 21 with co-occuring developmental and psychiatric disorders or cognitive disabilities ranging from mild to moderate. The facility provides medically necessary residential treatment services and is approved as a Virginia Medicaid provider. Our goal is to provide short-term intensive residential therapeutic treatment designed to help individuals build the self-management skills necessary to be successful in a community setting. Medical and Health-Related ServicesGrafton provides supervision of medical and psychiatric services as well as timely and responsive medical treatment appropriate to the diagnostic conditions of our clients.The facility has an infirmary with 24-hour nursing support. Both psychiatrists and medical directors are available at all Grafton sites to assess medical/psychiatric needs and provide leadership and guidance in delivery, oversight and design of psychiatric services for clients.Licensing and AccreditationGrafton’s Residential Treatment Center is an accredited school and is licensed by the Virginia Interdepartmental Regulations of Children’s Residential Facilities (an interdepartmental team including the Department of Education and Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services), and is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities and CARF.
