Grafton Integrated Health Network is partnering with Teens, Inc. to teach kids vocational skills including greenhouse production, lawn maintenance and landscape design and installation.

Teens, Inc. is a vocational agriculture non-profit organization that provides training for individuals with disabilities.  The primary objective of the program is to prepare students to enter the workforce equipped with skills to obtain and maintain employment.

Six students from Grafton were chosen to participate in the program which is scheduled to commence in October.  The course will run for tweleve weeks and consist of a total of 24 classes that meet twice a week for two hours at a time.

Recently, KOVAR (Knights of Columbus of Virginia Assisting Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities) generously awarded Grafton $14,800 to support funding related to the vocational training program as well as an equestrain therapy program.
