Community Behavioral Resource Center Opens in Bradenton

Bradenton, Florida, January 2, 2013 –Grafton Integrated Health Network (Grafton) is pleased to announce the opening of their walk-in Community Behavioral Resource Center on January 9, 2013. Grafton is a behavioral healthcare not-for-profit organization that has provided services to children, adolescents and adults for more than a half century. Services within the organization are currently provided throughout Virginia.

Recently, an office was opened in Bradenton, Florida to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals throughout Florida. ABA services are delivered by Board Certified Behavior Analysts in homes, schools and within communities.

“There is a real need for ABA services for individuals presenting severe behavioral challenges. It is exciting to be part of a program that will benefit local children and adults in our community. With the launch and provision of ABA services, we want to raise awareness about dealing with behavioral challenges and let parents know that there is hope”, shared Lucy Bargioni, Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Grafton’s Community Behavioral Resource Center will provide free access to a wealth of behavioral resources including current research, literature and educational materials. Members of the community will be able to loan books and DVDs that aim to teach evidence-based behavioral management techniques to parents and other providers. Skilled clinicians will conduct regular training and workshops for teachers, caregivers and families experiencing behavioral challenges as the result of Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and emotional-behavioral disorders as well as those parents experiencing challenging behavior from their otherwise healthy and typically developing children.

The Grafton Community Behavioral Resource center is located at 1608 53rd Ave W., Bradenton, FL 34207. For more information on Grafton Integrated Health Network’s services and expertise, please visit www.grafton.org.
